I have a small log cabin located in the rolling hills of northern Missouri. It’s a nice quiet place for a weekend getaway. Most days you can watch wildlife travel across the open area on the front lawn. The cabin has a loft with a queen bed and full bed. Access to the loft is by ladder type stairs. Not far from a couple small towns for groceries. Several lakes within 30 miles if fishing or kayaking is desired. A few walking trails on the property and lots of scenic gravel roads to just drive around and explore. I have added an extra space in the basement it’s basically set up as it’s very own apt with everything the upstairs has kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom so if 2 couples would like to get away together the extra space can also be rented for an extra cost. It’s been brought to my attention that some where this states not suitable for children (not sure why) children are welcome. That being said I do not have a playground area set up yet but there are plenty of outdoor activities for them such as nature walks and exploring.

Summary: A sense of relaxation hit us the moment we pulled up to the cabin. It's beautifully tucked away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The decorations are quaint and homey. Misti had everything organized and provided for us so it honestly felt like a home away from home. She was communicative in every aspect. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!!! Summary: We were simply looking for a place to sleep because my daughter was in town for prom. Wow we got so much more! We got some amazing pictures of the happy couple. My younger daughter is 10 and loved it as well! The hiking trails from the cabin are great with many unexpected attractions. Make sure you look yourself over we found a couple of ticks trying to go home with us. Beds were very comfortable. Youngest fell asleep on the couch and said it was better than her bed. All in all a very charming and memory making night! Would definitely stay again!!
